About
A house has a lot to keep track of.
Ridgeback is one assistant a whole household shares. It knows who each of you is, keeps what you tell it inside your own walls, and answers the same whether you reach it from a phone in the kitchen or from a laptop.
The assistant is called Bobby, after a real dog rather than a brand. A ridgeback finds the doorway with the best view of the room and settles there, where he can see everyone at once. He learns his family quickly and stays politely curious about everybody else. The software was built to keep those habits.
Who makes it
Not Hotdog LLC
A small operation, and the product is early enough that saying much more than that would be filling space.
Not Hotdog LLC holds household data and answers for it. The privacy policy says what it holds, who else handles it, and how to see, correct or delete it.
Not Hotdog LLC’s mission
Secure, transparent, and ethical AI for consumers.
Secure
Built so that our mistakes cannot become your breach.
Transparent
We publish what we hold, and what we have not decided.
Ethical
We do not train on your data without your permission, and we do not build things that are hard to leave.
How it is being built
In the open, including the parts that are not finished
A site that draws planned features the same way it draws shipped ones is how you end up with the wrong idea of what exists. So the roadmap marks what runs today, what is being built, and what is still only a drawing. The prototype embedded in the walkthrough is a real app running, not a picture of one.
The same applies to the promises. Where a decision has not been made, the page says so instead of inventing an answer that reads well.
The documents
Where to read the details
-
Privacy policyIn force from 24 September 2026
What is collected, who can see it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask for.
-
Terms of serviceDraft, not in force
What we owe each other. What the software does is written out and checked against the boards that specify it. What nobody has decided yet is marked rather than guessed.
-
Data and AI Transparency
The longer version. Nine kinds of data row by row, what the assistant reads, and what deletion does and does not reach.
-
Open questions
Thirteen things nobody has decided, nine of them legal, tracked beside the product roadmap.
-
How to use it
One ordinary request followed the whole way through, on the running prototype, plus what else a household can ask for.
Ridgeback is not open for sign-ups yet. The waitlist is the way to hear when it is.
