Ridgeback· a home’s best friend

Release notes

Invite someone by email

Type an address on Members and Ridgeback sends the invitation for you. The desktop app also caught up with the phones.

Invite by email

Members now has an email box under the invitation code. Type someone’s address and press Send, and Ridgeback emails them a code to join your home, with how to get the app. You don’t copy or paste anything, and the code never appears on your screen. It’s in their inbox, and in the invitations list if you want to take it back.

Anyone in a home who can invite people can use it. Each home can send a limited number of invitations a day, so the button can’t be used to flood someone’s inbox.

The desktop app caught up

Everything the phones gained over the last week is now on the computer too: the Tools page, receipts with their photographs, what Bobby remembers about each person, who may see a protected person’s records, who added each list item, and planning a grocery run from the grocery list.

You can also untick every home now. Threads and the Bobby tab then say “Select a home” and wait for you to choose, as the phones do. If you had chosen every home before this update, you still have every home.

Still open

On at least one Android phone, the box for typing a message doesn’t appear in a thread. If you see it, Settings > Bug reports & feature requests is the quickest way to tell us.

Get the build

iPhone builds arrive through TestFlight. Android, macOS and Linux downloads are on the home page.
