What Bobby can do, and receipts with their pictures

A Tools page that says which of Bobby’s tools are built, receipts that show the photograph they came from, and empty lists you can reach on Android.

Tools

Each home’s Settings has a new Tools row, next to Groups. It lists what Bobby can do in that home, one group of tools at a time: how many are switched on, how many are built, and which groups may ask for them. A chip says whether the group is active, whether some of its tools can’t be reached by anyone, or whether nothing in it is connected yet.

Open a group to see each tool with its own switch. Turning a tool off removes it from what Bobby is offered, for everyone in the home. A tool with nothing behind it yet says so, so a switch never promises something Bobby can’t do. Only people in a group that manages groups can see or change this page.

Receipts show their photographs

A receipt that was read from a photograph now shows that photograph under what was read off it. A receipt typed in by hand shows no picture and says nothing about it. If your seat can see receipts but not photographs, the receipt tells you that instead of hiding.

Receipts no longer have a row in Settings on the phones. They live under Bobby, with the lists, the calendar and the trips.

Empty lists on Android

With one home chosen, Android’s Lists screen now shows every list in that home, including ones with nothing on them yet. Before, an empty grocery list couldn’t be opened from there, which is exactly when you need it. The iPhone already worked this way.

Still open

On at least one Android phone, the box for typing a message doesn’t appear in a thread. We haven’t found the cause yet. If it happens to you, Settings > Bug reports & feature requests is the quickest way to tell us.

Get the build

iPhone builds arrive through TestFlight. Android, macOS and Linux downloads are on the home page.
