Android opens Home again
A fix for Android phones that closed the app on reaching Home, and one problem we are still chasing.
The crash
On Android, the app closed itself as soon as it reached Home for anyone who had not yet been asked to introduce themselves. It happened every time, so for those people the app could not be used at all.
The cause was one line: the rule that splits a name into a first and a last name. It was written in a form that our tests accept and Android does not. The rule now uses a form both accept, and it still treats every kind of space between names the same way the iPhone and desktop apps do. A new check stops that form from coming back.
Still open: the message box on Android
On at least one Android phone, the box for typing a message does not appear in a thread. This build does not fix it. If you see it, Settings > Bug reports & feature requests is the quickest way to tell us which thread and which phone.
Get the build
The Android download on the home page carries the fix. The iPhone app is unchanged in this release and stays on TestFlight build 457.
